13 Weeks – Christmas

My dearest Maknugget,

It’s Christmas today, and you’ve reached 13 weeks.  Daddy bought you a big bag of green gummy bears for Christmas.  Only green ones!  Yum!

Yesterday, we had Christmas Eve dinner with the whole family -  嫲嫲, 爷爷, 阿公, 婆婆,伯伯, 伯娘, 吴婆婆, Alyssa姐姐, and Alton哥哥.   Then today, we feasted again!  A-gong made a turkey and it was delicious!  I think you thought so too.  This time next year, you will be joining us at this dinner table!

12 weeks – NT Scan results

Doctor says you look healthy and normal. We’re so happy and so glad! Every time we go to the temple we pray that you are happy and healthy and the doctor today confirmed our prayers. He gave you some cool 3D photos too, so you don’t look so much like a blob in these photos.

And, a little surprise…

The doctor called it your rocket. He’s betting you’re a boy.  We’ll find out for sure in February.

12 Weeks – Visitors from Canada

You’re 12 weeks (about the size of a plum) but not making an appearance yet on my tummy.

A-gong and Po-po came to LA to visit us for Christmas last night and I can’t wait for you to taste A-gong’s cooking! You know, he’s the best cook. They also brought you a taste of Canada. These are my favorite!

I hope Maknugget loves these too!

11 weeks

You graduated yesterday! 11 weeks means you’re no longer considered an embryo and you are officially a fetus. What does that mean? It means our little MakNugget looks more like a baby now and not so much a gummy bear. We saw you today at the doctor’s and you made a big stretch and we saw your long legs and your little hands moving about. We also heard your heartbeat for the first time. Last time, we saw it on the screen, but this time, we got to hear it.

Here’s your latest picture. You’re now the size of a lime!

~Mommy

PS: Don’t you just love green gummy bears?
