July/August/September Update

So, I’ve been lacking in the updating department. Bad bad bad!

So here’s what happened in the past few months in no particular order:

- We went to vegas!
- Linus went to the zoo and met a gorilla.
- We met the pony at the petting zoo.
- Linus went to his first baseball game.
- We celebrated birthdays with Julian, Raymond, Lillian, and Alton哥哥 .
- We had Korean BBQ with 爷爷 and 嫲嫲
- We started a vegetable garden (that the dog then dug up, but we’ll start it again!)

Linus learned to use a spoon. Here’s him feeding BaBa.

Linus says, “Get OUT!”

Linus has his first taste of icecream and learns to nod “Yes!”

Our little Picasso paints his first painting.

Linus slides the big slide at Alton’s party.

Whew! That was a lot of work for me. It was a fun summer!
I will try to be more regular with the updates from this point on. Try being the operative word.

Linus is so lucky to have these Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles, cousins, and friends who love and care about him. We would like to thank everyone for coming to Linus’ first birthday party and celebrating with us.


And also to those who did not attend, thank you for all the birthday wishes you sent!

Linus turns ONE!

My little baby is one years old now. This was the fastest year of my life. He loves oranges and smoothies and cars. Everything becomes a toy car and when he drives his cars he goes, “buuuu buuu buuuu”. My little speed demon. He knows how to say 妈妈 奶奶 and 走走. He loves to go on his morning walks with PoPo to see the peacock. He still loves to flap his arms and say “a-jijiji!” He’s full of smiles and rarely cries. He truly is my little bundle of joy.

Mommy made Linus birthday pancakes. Yum!

He got some sweet new wheels from Mommy and BaBa.

And he got to eat as much cake as he wanted. He didn’t know what to do with it, and was just confused and upset by the whole scenario. Poor baby.

11 months old – getting into trouble!

Linus turned 11 months old today! Maybe it was because he was too excited to be a big boy because Linus decided to wake up EXTRA EARLY today. 20130520-184826.jpg

In the past month, Linus began looking more like a toddler and less like a baby. He also understands a lot of things like the things he likes to eat, the birds and planes in the sky, the ants and bugs crawling on the ground, and the big garbage trucks that come by every week.

Linus loves his bookshelf and books. His favorite game is pulling ALL the books out of the bookshelf and making a mess in the playroom for mommy or PoPo to clean up. Here’s the little bugger caught in the act.

10 months – The world is too exciting to stay still!

My little boy is 10 months old and a speed demon. He crawls so fast and can’t stay still. He can clap, bounce, and wave. He LOVES eating strawberries and yogurt. He consistently babbles “mamama” “bababa” and “dadada”. When he’s pissed off, he says “a-jijiji”.

At 9 months, Linus had just gotten his first tooth. At 10 months, Linus has 8 teeth. Look at those two big front teeth when he flashes a smile!


9 months

My baby is 9 months old today. How the time flies!

Linus is 20lbs, loves his ride-on cars, yogurt smoothies, and giving wet, open-mouthed kisses. His little personality is starting to show through and it is adorable. He’s a happy, bubbly baby. When things excite him, he flaps his arms and squeals. He loves books and likes turning the page with mommy when we read bedtime stories. He’s pretty impatient, super active, and keeps mommy and PoPo on their toes all day long. A crawling machine, Linus has 2 settings – fast and bouncy or sleeping.

Today, we got Linus a little cheesecake. He was lucky enough to get a taste. Yummy!

7 months – 2013!

Here’s hoping that the new year brings lots of great new things!  Linus is 7 months old now and crawling, sitting like a pro, and standing holding on to something on his own.  Our little baby is not so little anymore!  Mommy and BaBa are going to need to get busy babyproofing.

The hair that never fell out is just a tiny wisp now. Mommy doesn’t have the heart to cut it.Peek-a-boo!

6 months – Linus’ First Christmas

Our little baby is 6 months old! SIX MONTHS! What a big milestone. He can now roll both ways (sometimes even in his sleep), sit on his own, scoot backwards, eat solids, and grab at things faster than I ever thought possible.

Our Christmas tree is up and Linus LOVES to look at the lights and tries to eat the ball ornaments.

Here’s Linus meeting Santa. I wonder what he told Santa he wanted for Christmas? He has been a very good boy.

5 Months – Rolling and trying to crawl

My little baby is 5 months already!  How the time flies.  Linus can now roll over whenever he wants and roll and scoot to all kinds of places.  You turn around for a second and for some reason he isn’t where you left him anymore!

Linus also discovered this high-pitched squeal recently.  He’s channeling his inner-pterodactyl. Mommy’s ears can’t wait for Linus to move on from this noise.
