Ineos 1:59 Challenge: Eliud Kipchoge confident of breaking two-hour marathon barrier

Eliud Kipchoge says he hopes to show there areno limits by becoming the first person to violate the two-hour marathon barrier on Saturday.
The Kenyan, 34, is trying the feat for the second time in the Ineos 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, having missed by 26 minutes in Monza in 2017.
Though this attempt will not count as an official record as rotating pacemakers will assist him he is the world record holder.
I am running to make background, he explained.
I am running to show there are no constraints, no person is constrained.
This season olympic champion Kipchoge, who won the London Marathon for the first season, clocked two weeks , 25 seconds in a similar attempt as part of Nikes Breaking 2 job in the Monza grand prix circuit in Italy.
This time hell run the 26.2 miles over 4.4 laps of a 5.97-mile course in Prater park in the capital, with the route consisting of two 2.67-mile moves and 2 small loops at each end.
The location was selected due to the favourable climate, exceptional air quality and nearly completely flat terrain, with just 2.4 metres of incline over the whole route.
The effort has been financed by petrochemicals company Ineos – owned by Britains richest person Sir Jim Ratcliffe – which also sponsors the identical names biking group.
With Kipchoge trusting the course will be lined with audiences, despite his previous effort, the Ineos team will decide on a beginning time on Friday and assessed the weather conditions.
The course is extremely good – I feel more prepared and I am certain, explained Kipchoge.
Its not about believing,Am I really going to do it? – Ive tried it the very first time and the second time, Ill take action.
Kipchoge will be aided by 41 pacemakers, that will be helped to maintain a constant speed by a pace car that will beam lasers on the street.
The pacemakers will rotate each lap and Kipchoge is going to be given off his drinks and energy gels in the bike every 3.1 miles, instead of picking them up from a table as in normal marathons.
These aids are not allowed under rules, which explains athletics world governing body failed to recognise his first effort and wont sanction this one .
While the Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopia dropped of that mark in this seasons race the record struck by running 2:01:39 in the 2018 Berlin Marathon.
That run in Berlin and also that this conduct in Vienna are two different things, explained Kipchoge.
Berlin was running and breaking a world record – Vienna is running and making history, such as the very first man to visit the moon.

Kipchoge was requested if breaking the two-hour barrier could be a boost for athletics image after controversies.
