Alex Iwobi feels like he has a ‘new home’ at Everton after Deadline Day move

Alex Iwobi feels like he’s found a”new home” at Everton after his Deadline Day movement and discuses the way he’s adapted to Merseyside.
The made a last-minute move to Goodison Park last month, which makes Arsenal – in which he has played since the age of eight – to connect Everton for a #35m fee.
The international says he has settled in nicely to his new surroundings, but does not think there is much gap between Liverpool and London.
He told Soccer Saturday:”It is so far, so great, I feel like I’ve got a new home and I’m really comfortable here.
“I got several phone calls [concerning the deal] and talked to my agent – it took about a day of talking to the supervisor and speaking to Marcel Brands. It was tough and I got convinced.
“I was very comfortable [in Arsenal] and that I was on vacation so I didn’t think about any move. I thought about whether this would be a chance for me to improve myself as a participant and received the call. I thought this is a significant opportunity and that I shouldn’t turn down it. I have no regrets about the decision.
“The ambition that Marco Silva has persuaded me – the driveway, what he would like to achieve and how he watched me in his aims, I feel as I’m in a position to help him do that. Even in training, he demanding hoping to get the best and it is very fantastic for your group.
“I have not noticed much of a gap [between Liverpool and London] but what I struggle with is that the accent here. When Duncan [Ferguson] spoke to me I needed to listen and engage and that I wasn’t sure so I agreed, what he had said. It’s adapting to this but it is nearly the exact same as being in London.
“So far, I have been treated very well. It is a family and everybody treats you like familymembers. Though it’s different to Arsenal, I’m enjoying it.”
Iwobi has scored twice and has made three appearances for Everton thus much – . The 23-year-old admits that it is not his very best method of locating the net, but is very happy to get off the mark due to his new club.
“To score against Lincoln and rating against squirrels along with my mind, that is somewhat different, it is a great feeling and hopefully there is more to come,” he added.
“I just formally had one header for Arsenal so two in a week isn’t bad. Beforehand, we had a couple of drills together using crossing and completing and my heading was not the greatest – that I had a few that went . So for me they were laughing at me saying’wow’. But as long as it belongs, it doesn’t matter, that’s exactly what they told them.
“Wherever I go, I will always do my best for the club and Everton are the club I’m representing. I’m at home and I will always wish to show them that I feel as an Evertonian now.”
Up for Everton is really a trip to Bournemouth – live on Sky Sports – however Iwobi understands it will not be a simple game on the shore.
He said:”It is a different game and another huge chance to get three points. It is not going to be easy, Bournemouth have great players too but we’ll compete and try and get a result.”
