William Haggas Intends to give Raheen House an outing at Australia before a Possible shot in the Lexus Melbourne Cup at Flemington in November.

The Newmarket trainer has allowed the Caulfield Cup on October 19 using the Geelong Cup, because his goal for its son of Sea The Stars.
The five year-old, among two horses to have defeated double Arc winner Enable, finished down the field on his most recent start in the month’s Ebor in York – however he’d previously been put in Listed and Group race company to the Knavesmire.
Haggas said:”Raheen House is currently in quarantine at the moment, and he’s due to go to Australia shortly.
“I believe he is going to run in the Caulfield Cup when he has in. If he does not get in he would go for the Geelong Cup.
“I think he needs to have a race initially before the Melbourne Cup. He will run down there, and that I really don’t think the two-mile trip in the Melbourne Cup will be any issue.”
Reflecting on Raheen House’s no show in the Ebor, the Vintage handler that is winning believes he was conspired against by several things.
Haggas included:”He got a lot back, and (jockey) James (Doyle) said he did not really have that ancient speed.
“James said they went hard, however, and he just got in the wrong position – but that is how it is.
“The ground might have been also been a bit quick for him.”
